{Pinning Lately}

Still finding lots of inspiration from Pinterest. As our little family gets closer and closer to a new house, I'm getting excited to tweak a few things about A's room (she is becoming a toddler), and looking forward to decorating a bathroom of her own! Here are a few of my favorite pins recently...

Definitely want to add a wall gallery to her room...

And of course we'll need some pics and prints...

How cute is this bathroom wall?

Or the pops of color in this kid's bathroom?

{Wallpaper Nursery}

I've always attached such a negative stigma to wallpaper, but I'm working on getting over that.  I've come across so many appropriate and beautiful uses of wallpaper that I'm changing my mind...

Thank you Pinterest.  Maybe wallpaper isn't so bad...

{Olio Obsession}

I could decorate and dream about nurseries all day long, and often have to stop myself from doing so because that naturally leads me to daydreaming about another baby. Sigh.

Creating a relaxing and wonderful environment for momma and infant is my idea of a good time. I had the best time doing so for my own, and can't wait to do it again!  In the meantime, I enjoy finding and cataloging these amazing mood boards and design concepts for future inspiration. Here are a few of my favorites I found through none other than Pinterest...

And let it be known that I'm in love with Lay Baby Lay. Definitely a go to for any mommy thinking about her nursery...

And thanks to Olio, I can now create my own mood boards with my own ideas. It's so useful for keeping one on track and solidifying the direction or feel of a room (or for general enjoyment purposes).

Here is my first Olio...

1. I drew the inspiration for the room from this It Was Always You Print by AshleyG on Etsy.
2. Capiz Shell Chandelier, Layla Grace
3. Traditions Slub Texture Yellow/White Print fabric by Premier Prints, fabric.com
4. Linda Bennett Indiana Gothic House Cross Stich, The Pampered Sticher via Etsy.
5. Luxe Wing Chair, Crate & Barrell
6. Bloom- Alma Pap Crib, 2Modern
7. Frontier Collection Wool Rug in Red Ivory, Burke Decor LLC
8. August's Humid Decline Painting, Caroline Wright Art
9. Nurseryworks- Canterbury Changing Table, 2 Modern

Where, oh where were Olio and Pinterest when I was planning Little Miss A's nursery?

{A Room for Two}

If you live in a teeny (but wonderful) house like I do, a growing family and limited space can be a bit daunting. Although we aren't planning on having another little one any time soon, the thought of another little body in our two bed, one bath home makes me a little anxious. I went through a stage of being convinced that we would definitely have to move when we decided to have another kid. After seeing these beautiful nursery/toddler room combinations in small spaces, I'm rethinking my initial freak-out.

{Etsy Love: Sweet Louise Boutique}

As mother to a four month old infant who is constantly finding fascination in shapes, color, and movement, I am always searching for new things for her to look at and delight in.

Until recently, I was missing a mobile in my nursery. I didn't like any I saw in stores and just couldn't find the time or motivation to make one myself. Then, a good friend of mine started an Etsy business, and what do you know? One of the items for sell in her boutique was a mobile that matched the colors and theme of my nursery perfectly!

It was a no-brainer to support her in her new business venture and at the same time get the perfect mobile for my darling's room. She loves it!

Other wonderful items from Sweet Louise Boutique include a sensory blanket, stroller blankets, baby girl leg warmers, and chenille-lined burp cloths and bibs...

I also ordered a set of the burp cloths for a gift and they are so soft! I just know the mommy-to-be is going to love them. I love Sweet Louise Boutique!

{The Chevron Stripe}

A big trend in interiors and pretty much anything else right now is the chevron stripe pattern- and I hope it sticks around for a while because I love it! It is popping up in everything cutesy from nursery decor to rompers, and the list goes on!

I often peruse what others have done in their nurseries and kids' rooms, and have noticed the reoccuring theme of the chevron stripe. Here are some of my favorites:
